we really enjoyed our stay at the bear hotel. the charm and character of the place was amazin. the staff were super helpful and friendly, made us feel right at home. breakfast was yummy and the rooms were clean and comfy for our 2 nights. overall, a great vibe in a lovely area.

only thing i gotta complain about is no luggage racks available when asked. our room was kinda small, so we tripped over our suitcases all over the place.

the breakfast was delicious, and the peaceful room allowed me to recharge well for my walks, making it so easy to visit things like the Priory Church of Lady St Mary just a few steps away and enjoy the beautiful Hartland Moor National Nature Reserve almost 2 km down the road for stunning views and natural beauty.

The highlight was definitely the breakfast, featuring a splendid Full English option that was perfectly cooked. the limited room space made it challenging for luggage arrangements.

The room featured a comfortable mattress, making for a good night’s rest, which is a plus when you’re hitting the road. An on-site restaurant serves high-quality dishes, with seafood options that are quite impressive, perfect for those with a hungry palate.

The furniture moving and loud talking starting at 6:30 AM was an unwelcome wake-up call during my stay. nothing like getting jolted awake. Breakfast timing is hit or miss, as I found cereals and juices cleared away well before the end of serving. Plus, trying to argue about meal charges upon checkout was a frustrating mix-up to deal with after a long stay.

Had a fantastic time with friends! We enjoyed exploring the beautiful countryside and visiting the nearby coast. The staff were super friendly, and the bar scene was lively. The food was delicious and more than enough for our hungry group. Perfect spot for a group getaway.
